Christina VuA lot of my art work inspirations comes from the famous Andy Warhol and his pop art movement. Some of my favorites are like the Campbell's Soup Can and the Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe Gold Portrait. I also take many inspirations from the minimalist artists such as Dan Flavin and James Turrell. Their highly recognized and modern light art designs are some of my personal favorites. My favorite light works are called "breathing light". I find the simplicity and the rush of vibrant colours very different and unique as suppose to some of the more classic and timeless paintings from Van Gogh or Picasso. Plenty of my inspirations also come from the sarcastic, clever and critical street art murals such as from Banksy and Pijac. |
